Friday’s Friendly Reminy

Friendly Friday Reminder…

What would your life be like without God’s Prophets and Apostles?

You and I are so blessed to be leg and guided my living Prophets and Apostles in this day. God has made sure we have the doctrine of Jesus Christ restored church, and the direction we would need to not only survive this frail existence, but to thrive and find Joy in our lives.

Only a God who deeply loves His children would take the time to do that.

Because God has given us Prophets and Apostles, we don’t have to worry, we just need to have faith.

Every year in April and October, member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints, and everyone else, have the opportunity to receive directions and guidance through the Prophets, directly from God. This can be a special and personal experience for each and every one who chooses to attend.

I mean can you imagine a world without Prophets?

A world without consistent revelation from our Heavely Father?

A world with no light?

I’m grateful for a God who cares!🙏🏾

Last October, the Prophet of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint shared a message titled: Think CelestialIt. It was a beautiful and inspiring message. The second he introduced “Thinking Celestial” mindset I knew that he was speaking in behalf of God, and that I was the one God was speaking to. Everything he said was everything I needed to hear. Everything he said was answers to my unsaid prayers that I needed then, and would need in the near future. Everything he said testified to my heart and mind that Russell M. Nelson was a man called to be the Prophet of God, to lead and guide us in this day.

I just recently listened to the message of “Thinking Celestial” again today and I want to share with you two major things that caught my attention.

One: The message emphasized heavily on the importance of purity and chastity (something our world doesn’t see as important).

I love these words of President Nelson:

“Many of the adversary’s most relentless temptations involve violations of moral purity. The power to create life is the one privilege of godhood that Heavenly Father allows His mortal children to exercise. Thus, God set clear guidelines for the use of this living, divine power. Physical intimacy is only for a man and a woman who are married to each other.

Much of the world does not believe this, but public opinion is not the arbiter of truth. The Lord has declared that no unchaste person will attain the celestial kingdom. So when you make decisions regarding morality, please think celestial. And if you have been unchaste, I plead with you to repent. Come unto Christ and receive His promise of complete forgiveness as you fully repent of your sins.

As you think celestial, you will view trials and opposition in a new light.”

The second thing he spoke about was how every choice we make in this life WILL determine how our life after death ends up. Each choice must be made with a destination in mind. Life is too precious to just casually care about.

The way we care for our bodies, the relationships we choose to create with those we love, will determine where we end up. President Nelson’s continues to say:

“Mortality is a master class in learning to choose the things of greatest eternal import. Far too many people live as though this life is all there is. However, your choices today will determine three things: where you will live throughout all eternity, the kind of body with which you will be resurrected, and those with whom you will live forever. So, think celestial…

So, my dear brothers and sisters, how and where and with whom do you want to live forever? You get to choose.”

I’m so thankful for Prophets and Apostle who lead and guide us through the power of God. Life is filled with fears of the unknown, and I’m sure many of you wonder where you fit in and where to turn. I promise you can look to God’s Prophets and Apostles for direction and light.

God will help you find peace and clarity along your journey.

God bless you and your family🙏🏾😊
